Right now the work done by Postpartum Support Charleston is all thanks to some pretty awesome volunteers. But we could use more help in our efforts. So, we’re hiring! Job Posting – Postpartum Support Charleston

Postpartum Support Charleston is seeking an independent contractor to assist with organization tasks and administrative duties. Tasks would include contacting Charleston area doctors’ offices and to provide materials and information and/or set up meetings; coordinating speaking engagements for PSC board members; researching community events; researching grants; and general administrative tasks. Payment would be issued upon successful completion of each assigned project.

Interested candidates should have good written and verbal communications skills, be organized and self-motivated. Grant writing is a plus but not a requirement. The person hired for this position would be an independent contractor responsible for own equipment, workspace and expenses. May work at home but would be expected to attend monthly Postpartum Support Charleston board meetings.

Job Posting – Mom’s Run + Family Fun Day

Postpartum Support Charleston is seeking an independent contractor to assist with the 11th annual Moms’ Run + Family Fun Day. This annual event is the organization’s largest fundraiser and will take place on May 10, 2014. The 2013 event attracted more than 400 participants.

Tasks would include assisting with event sponsorships and exhibitors, event details and paperwork, promotions, communication and public relations and other general administrative and event planning tasks. Payment would be issued upon successful completion of each assigned project during the Moms’ Run planning process. Event planning begins in October 2013 but would be most active beginning in January 2014.

Interested candidates should have good written and verbal communications skills, be organized and self-motivated. Experience with event planning is a plus but not a requirement. The person hired for this position would be an independent contractor responsible for own equipment, workspace and expenses. May work at home but would be expected to attend regular event committee planning meetings.
