To better support moms in our community, Postpartum Support Charleston is adding a second PPD support group beginning in September. This second group will meet in the North Charleston area and will be open to both English- and Spanish-speaking mothers.

East Cooper Area

When: 6:30-7:30 p.m. the 1st Tuesday of the month
Where: East Cooper Medical Center, 2000 Hospital Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Room 2132

North Area

When: 6:30-7:30 p.m. the 3rd Monday of the month:
Where: Trident Medical Center Community Center, 9228 Medical Plaza Drive in North Charleston (2nd floor classroom).
This group is led by a Spanish-speaking facilitator so Spanish-speaking mothers are invited to attend.

Spouses/partners and infants are welcome. Free.

Are you suffering from any of the following symptoms since having a baby?

  • Feelings of anger or irritability
  • Lack of interest in the baby
  • Appetite and sleep disturbance
  • Crying and sadness
  • Feelings of guilt, shame or hopelessness
  • Loss of interest, joy or pleasure in things you used to enjoy
  • Possible thoughts of harming the baby or yourself

Support is available. Don’t suffer in silence. Please join us for one of these peer-led support groups.
