University of South Carolina Research Study for New Mothers
USC researchers are beginning recruitment for a study for new mothers who may be experiencing some unpleasant symptoms following delivery of their baby. This study is for mothers who have delivered a baby anytime in the last 12 months and who have been experiencing any of the following symptoms:
- Depressed mood
- Loss of interest or pleasure in activities
- Sleep disturbances
- Appetite disturbances
- Loss of energy/fatigue
- Feelings of worthlessness/guilt
Treatment during the study will be provided at no cost. The study lasts just over 2 weeks, is simple, and involves no drugs. We are hoping to reach as many new mothers as possible in the effort to develop treatment strategies for mothers experiencing symptoms of depression after the delivery of their newborn.

University of South Florida is conducting a study for Postpartum Depression
"The purpose of this study is to learn how symptoms of postpartum OCD affect different aspects of the relationship between new mothers and their infants. While the participants can not receive a diagnosis from taking the survey, they will be helping researchers and health care professionals learn more about this disorder. Their participation in the study will allow researchers to develop diagnosis and treatment protocols for women with ppOCD."
