I'm glad you had the opportunity to speak your mind. It is extremely frustrating when those who have access to large media coverage make statements, out of ignorance, that can be so seriously detrimental to those who are ill.
I firmly believe, however, that this is going to backfire on Tom and that what will actually be accomplished is exactly the opposite of what he had in mind. I think his "opening up this can of worms" is actually giving PPD more and better coverage, ie., the excellent responses encouraging medical treatment and stating concrete reasons for taking drugs when they are needed.
