I had my first baby 8 months ago and have been feeling fine until about a month ago. Is it possible to have postpartum start this late? It first started when I got my period back, so I thought it was just a hormonal thing. I also started to become COMPLETELY exhausted... ready to sleep at any time, even though I'm sleeping fine at night. It feels just like when I had mono years ago. I'll start to feel better for a day, or part of a day, but any little thing just sends me into an awful spiral of depression. My little girl is the only reason I get out of bed most days. I don't ever contemplate hurting her... in fact she's the only thing that ever makes me happy. Except for being with her, I don't really want to be alive anymore. Could this be postpartum coming on really late? Or would this just be some general form of depression? Also, I don't have health insurance, so I don't have money to go to the doctor to get blood work done for hormone counts and thyroid. Is there any kind of agency who helps out with funding for this kind of thing? Whoever is out there, please help me. I just don't feel like I have the resources to go out and get help.
