Hey, AReece Yes, it is going to get better, but you really need to get with a doctor who is more savy about treating PPD. If you will tell me where you leave, I might be able to connect you with someone. Also, please give me your mailing address so I can send you a free copy of "Beyond the Blues" by Drs. Shoshana Bennett and Pec Indman as well as some other free PPD information. The book is an excellent treating manual and will give you some good tips on how to look for a doctor and questions to ask him/her about your treatment. About your meds....the drug that worked in the past is the first drug of choice. Is that what you are on now? Also, stopping breastfeeding abruptly can send those hormones racing. It's best to stop gradually -- but that's water under the bridge. That's just for future information. If you'll email me and/or give me a call, I'll be happy to talk with you and help you through this. I can also give you some names of women who have survived PPD, including a psychiatric nurse who suffered from severe PPD several years ago. There is hope! You are going to get well! You are not alone! Please contact me.....and thank you so much for reaching out for help through our website. We will do anything we can to help you. You might also want to visit www.postpartum.net and www.ppdsupportpage.com. These are two excellent websites for information (the first site) and support (the second site). Hope to hear from you soon.

Love, Helena
