Where do you live, Karen? Maybe I can put you contact with someone who can help you. I'm happy Lorena shared her story with you. What she didn't tell you is she has just had her 4th baby, has been on medication during her pregnancy and is doing quite well. I am so proud of her for jumping in and trying to help others through this message board. This time last year, she couldn't have done that.
So, you see, proper treatment is crucial. Please contact me with information regarding the location where you live. I have quite a few contacts around the country. Perhaps we can link you with someone.
Have you visited www.postpartum.net? It is the website for Postpartum Support International and is an excellent resource for information regarding postpartum depression. In addition, various support groups around the country are listed on the website.
Also, if you would like a packet of free information about postpartum depression and would like to give me your mailing address, please drop it to me in an email and I'll send the information right out to you.
